Cell Phone Controlled Home Appliance circuit

Image
Circuit Description: Ever Imagined controlling your home appliances using your cell phone. You can find a lot of circuits for this application. But they make use of Telephone. I modified the circuit and redesigned it to make it compatible with normal cell phone headphone. Just connect the your phone headphone jack to the phone and the connections to the circuit as shown in the circuit. The relays are connected using the resistor and transistor. Use ULN2803 to reduce the circuit size and increase the performance. The connections from the output of flip-flops has to be given to the inputs of the buffer and relays has to be connected to the buffer. Normally the tip of the headset is connected to the circuit to the 0.1uF capacitor as shown in the circuit diagram. The ground pin of headphone is connected to the ground of the circuit. Circuit Diagram: Operation: When you press keys in your Phone, the other person will hear some tones with respect to keys pressed. This tones are based on the ...

Bringing Theater Quality Sound Home

If you are one of the many people around the world who loves the sound quality of watching movies in theaters but hates the hassles (crying babies, people talking, cell phones ringing, etc) of actually going then I hope you are seriously contemplating the value that a home theater or surround sound system could bring to your movie enjoyment.  In fact, a good surround sound system cannot only improve your overall enjoyment of blockbuster hits but also your favorite music and video games as well. Surround sound is far more than a tool for watching movies at home, it is an entirely new way to look at and listen to your television in general.  You do not have to begin your home theater or surround sound experience with a top of the line piece of equipment. It is quite possible to start small with a surround sound system and build a better system as you go. In fact, I seriously recommend that people invest heavily in speakers from the beginning and sacrifice the number of speakers ...

Power Line Modem Circuit for Home Automation Application

Image
How to make a Power Line Modem Circuit for Home Automation Application. Imagine you have a master controller device that control other devices in your house, and you don’t need to install any additional wires to facilitate the data communication between the master controller and the controlled devices. Yes you’s life will be easier since all you need is just plugging your devices into your power line outlet, the devices will communicate each-other through the power line while using the line to enpower them! Circuit Diagram:   The secret is the powerline modem, a modem that use the powerline wiring as their media to exchange the data. Philips Semiconductors has a single chip powerline modem solution, a TDA5051A IC chip. Here is the schematic diagram of this powerline modem circuit. The TDA5051A single chip power line modem is equipped with protection of its output power stage and automatic gain control (AGC) of input signal. With simple coupling network, this power line modem is com...
