1 3V DC to 12 2V DC Regulator Power Supply

Image
Power supply circuit to generate output below were variations between 1.3V DC to 12.2V DC with 1A current. In addition, the power supply circuit is also equipped with over-current protection or shield against belebih flow. Power supply circuit is very simple, but the quality is quite good, made her basiskan regulator IC LM723 is a pretty legendary. Description: R2 to set the output voltage. The maximum current is determined by R3, over-current protection circuit inside the LM723 to detect the voltage on R3, if it reaches 0.65 V, the voltage output will be off her. So the current through R3 can not exceed 0.65 / R3 although output short-circuit in his. C3 and C4 are ceramic capacitors, as much as possible directly soldered to the PCB, this is because the LM723 is prone to oscillation that is not cool. LM723 works with 9.5V input voltage to 40 V DC and the LM723 can generate its own current of 150mA when the output voltage is not more than 6-7V under input voltage. Specifications: Output...

Ultra Low Power 5V Regulator

Image
The current drain of the regulator is minute compared with that of, say, a 78L05: at an input voltage of 9 V and open-circuit output, it is just under 50 µA. The circuit consists of a straightforward bandgap reference based on T1 and IC1, followed by an amplifier formed by IC2 and T1. The reference voltage is about 1.22 V, which is raised by IC2 to 5 V. The output voltage can be set to exactly 5 V with P1. The input voltage may lie between 6.5 V and 30 V. The maximum output current with the present configuration and component values as specified is about 10 mA. For optimum performance, T1a and T1b need to be identical, which is why a dual transtor Type MAT02 is used. Other types that may be used are the MAT01, SSM2210 or LM394. In principle, two standard BC transistors may be used, provided they are selected for identical threshold voltage. Circuits IC1 and IC2 are programmable op amps Type OP22. In the case of IC2 this has the benefit that the peak output current can be set readily by...

LTC3605A – 20V 5A Synchronous Step Down Regulator

Image
The LTC®3605A is a high efficiency, monolithic synchronous buck regulator using a phase lockable controlled on-time constant frequency, current mode architecture. PolyPhase operation allows multiple LTC3605A regulators to run out of phase while using minimal input and output capacitance. The operating supply voltage range is from 20V down to 4V, making it suitable for dual, triple or quadruple lithium-ion battery inputs as well as point of load power supply applications from a 12V or 5V rail.

Regulator for Three Phase Generator

Image
This regulator was designed for use with a  generator with a higher output voltage. This  type of generator can be found on some boats  and on vehicles for the emergency services.  They are really just an adapted version of the  standard alternator normally found in cars.  The field winding is connected to the 12 V  (or 24 V) battery supply, whereas the generator winding is configured for the AC grid  voltage (230 V or 115 V). This AC voltage now  has to be kept stable via the 12 V field winding. Although it’s perfectly possible to use a  switching regulator for this, we deliberately  chose to use the old and trusted 723. Circuit diagram : Regulator for Three-Phase Generator Circuit Diagram The generator is a three-phase type, with the  field winding rated for 12 VDC. The output voltage of the generator depends on its revs  and the current through the field winding.  Since the output voltage is relatively high, it...

Switching Regulator L296 Power Supply

Image
L296 is a high current switching regulator that can provide up to 4 ampere current and its output voltage range is from 5.1v to 50v. For more information concern its datasheet. Power supply current can be adjust by changing the value of P1 pot. P2 and P3 pots are used to vary the output voltage. C7-C10 capacitors are used for input voltage filtering whereas C2-C6 are for output voltage filtering purpose.  Output voltage can be taken across X1-1 and X1-2 terminals or either X1-2 and X1-3 terminals. Note that the maximum input voltage of L296 is 50v so we have to step down ac voltage by using 50v 4amp or appropriate transformer. Don't forget to use heat sink for L296. Schematic: Final Assembly:   Components Required: R1,R3,       10kΩ  Resistor R2,            15kΩ  Resistor R4,            3.2kΩ Resistor R5(R6),     0.1Ω ...

10A Adjustable voltage Regulator MSK 5012

Image
MSK5012 is a highly reliable adjustable voltage regulator.Whose output can be programmed using two resistors. The regulator has a very low dropout voltage(0.45v @10A  )due to the usage of MOSFET with very low Rds (ON) as the internal series pass element. The MS5012 has a high level of accuracy and ripple rejection is around 45dB. It is available in a 5 pin Sip package that is electrically isolated from the internal circuitry. This give us the freedom to fit the IC directly to the heat sink and this sort of direct heat sinking improves the thermal dissipation. Description. The output voltage of this circuit is adjustable from 1.3v to 36v DC.Resistors R 1 and R 2 are used for programming the output voltage. For all applications, value of R 2 is fixed to 10K. The relationship between R 1 ,R 2 and output voltage Vout is according to the equation R 1 =R 2 (Vout/1.235)-1. C 1 is a filter capacitor which is also a part of the gate drive circuit of the internal series pass MOSFET. ...

5 Volt Switching Regulator Power Supply

Image
The switching regulator power supply used LM2575-5.0 on this schematic. You can make the stable voltage by using the 3 terminal regulator like LM317. However, because the output electric current and the inputted electric current are the same approximately, the difference between the input electric power (The input voltage x The input electric current) and the output power (The output voltage x The output current) is consumed as the heat with the regulator. Because it is, the efficiency isnt good. Data sheet for LM2575 SIMPLE SWITCHER 1A Step-Down Voltage Regulator http://www.national.com/pf/LM/LM2575.htm
